Jasper Acupuncture LLC is owned and operated by Dana Weidenbenner, L.Ac., Dipl.OM. Jasper Acupuncture is based in Jasper, Indiana, providing Acupuncture and Traditional Oriental Medicine Therapies. Jasper Acupuncture is located at 209 3rd Avenue in Jasper, within the office of Active Chiropractic and Rehabilitation Center.
Dana started her path into natural healing as a teenager working with natural foods and supplements at Winkler’s Natural Foods in Jasper. She continued her path into healing by attending the Midwest Academy of Healing Arts in Brownsburg, IN, and became a Certified Massage Therapist. She worked for several years as a massage therapist, at The Wellness Center in Huntingburg, IN, as co-owner of Fire Horse Yoga, Massage, & Wellness in Jasper, IN, and at Renew Integrative Health Center, in San Diego, CA. Dana has been operating Jasper Acupuncture since 2014
Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.)
Dana is Licensed in the State of Indiana to perform Acupuncture and other therapies of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including Herbal Medicines, Nutrition, Moxibustion, Tui Na Massage, Gua Sha, and Cupping therapies.
Master of Science, Traditional Oriental Medicine(MSTOM)
Dana holds a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine(MSTOM) from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine(PCOM) in San Diego. She has over 3500 hours of training and instruction with PCOM, including extensive clinical and practical experience. PCOM has been recognized as a top acupuncture school in the U.S., and the PCOM clinic in which Dana trained was one of the largest of its kind in the country.
Diplomate of Oriental Medicine
A Diplomate of Oriental Medicine is a practitioner who is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM®) and has met the certification requirements for both acupuncture and Chinese herbology. It is a considerable professional achievement to earn the designation Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). NCCAOM certification indicates to employers, patients, and peers that one has met national standards for the safe and competent practice of acupuncture and Chinese herbology as defined by the acupuncture and Oriental medicine (AOM) profession.
